❤ ❤ ❤ What is addiction and can it sometimes be a healthy thing? I could make this a really long post and go on and on about addiction and what it is and why we have certain cravings and desires but instead I am posting this video to meditate to and some other interesting links culminating in a very refreshing guided meditation. We all have cravings, desires and addictions, some healthy some not so – I don't judge anyone, I have my own unhealthy choices to deal with. I just thought I would share some interesting links to the well and let you make of them what you will.
The thing about yoga, meditation (true meditation) and exercise (even just a daily long walk), as well as eating the right foods is that it actually releases the same chemicals in the brain and has healthier long-term effects as intoxicants such as Marijuana but is better for you because it is your own brain producing them.
The euphoric feeling you feel when you take a drug like Marijuana may make you feel good in the short term but the long-term effects of the drug aren’t going to be that healthy for you. Of course it is the same with any drug, even caffeine, alcohol, nicotine and chocolate but it is the brain’s response by craving and becoming addiction that makes it unhealthy. Any addiction is unhealthy and even exercise can become an unhealthy addiction (because it produces those unhealthy craving drugs in the brain) – but I think it is far safer to become addicted to the naturally produced chemicals in the brain than the highly toxic stimulants – also I just wanted to note here that the pineal gland can be activated by listening to 936Hz and when used through meditation can leave you feeling quite euphoric.
