Summer in the Garden

Hello everyone. I'm sorry I haven't been a presence here in the garden recently. I have been very busy in my real world garden, creating a 'Fairy Garden' for my little girl so that she can enjoy the summer out there on her trampoline and bring her friends round to play swing-ball and have water fights – the usual things children want to do in the summer holidays. We now have a very pretty garden, that is absolutely blooming! It has 2 water features, one a very pretty little fairy fountain and we have 2 fantasy villages – a fairy village and a gnome village. Oh yes and the dragon area that has 2 dragon ornaments, a mummy dragon and a baby dragon hatching out of his egg. It is so relaxing to sit out there listening to the water and the wind-chimes. At night it comes alive with light up fairy house and fairies, windmill and gnomes and a magical colour changing crystal ball wind chime. My garden has really helped me to feel better and my health is great at the moment.

The writing projects that I am concentrating on at the moment are all about the children, as I am starting Children's Story Craft Workshops in September as well as Toddler Story-Time sessions and I am putting together a workbook to accompany my workshops, which is packed with writing tips for kids and crafts to compliment character and world building. I am also really enjoying making a 'quiet' felt story aid book for my toddler groups, full of hand and finger puppets based around nursery rhymes, playground songs, fairy-tales and fables that I can use with the children.

So there you are that is my update – so you will have to excuse me if I only pop in and out rarely for the summer. I am also going back to college part time in September to study English Language, so my internet presence will be very minimal.

Please make yourselves at home here in the garden in my absence and I will update when I can. Don't forget to share with your fellow gardeners – this is your community, I am a mere caretaker, tasked with watering, feeding and weeding! The Well in the Garden is a little dry, please help to fill it with your own creativity.
