Four Seasons by Dr. Todd Harris

Thinking of the seasons changing today – enjoy this contribution to the well by Todd Harris:

longevity’s blessed years repaired
cursed loneliness
skirting normally short-lived creatures
lest miracles become paired

stress making every day
seem longly tall
facing unexpected morrow’s wall

curiosity burns fire-bright delicious
sharp eyes seeking fertile crops

novel things draw unmade wishes
Spring’s inspirations sprout nonstop

Summer days birth shorter days
breathless yellowed leaves laid bone
dead floating ground-ward free
dried flowers winded shedding spree
still live seeds dry freshly sown

stems grown brittle tall
bees flown higher scaling walls
Autumn’s roses fade
summer’s gone
fawn’s straying mother’s calling gone
Winter’s planning’s made
